Bridgeway Family Church
Bridgeway Family Church was launched in December 2023 as a result of the relationship that has grown between the three congregations based in Cape Town, Durban and Joburg. The leaders of these respective churches have been working together for more than 30 years, in various countries, under the covering of Church Team Ministries International (CTMI).
We believe that the church should be a family of believers, who are connected by the ongoing work of the cross in their lives, which breaks down racial, cultural and socio-economic barriers. The purpose of the three congregations coming under one name is an expression of the unity among us, a greater opportunity for facilitating church planting and expansion, and the development of the different ministries as seen in Scripture.
"For we preach Jesus Christ
and Him crucified."

Statement of Faith
WE BELIEVE:
- the Bible is the inspired Word of God, that it is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives.
- in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. Eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is holy and just, yet a God full of mercy, grace and love.
- man was created in the image of God, but sinned and fell through disobedience, and that the entire human race shares in man's lost and depraved nature.
- Jesus Christ became man and is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory over sin and death.
- the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross provides the sole basis for forgiveness of sins and salvation, which is the free gift of God’s grace.
- the Holy Spirit is the Promise of the Father, the Comforter who indwells and places every believer in the Body of Christ, bestows spiritual gifts upon the Church and convicts the world of sin and the judgement to come.
- in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit evidenced by the speaking in other tongues.
- in the manifestation of the nine Gifts of the Holy Spirit given to edify and equip the saints.
- in the process of sanctification; that all Christians are called to take up their cross, die to themselves and be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ.
- that the Church is the body of Christ; a community of believers of which Jesus Christ is the head.
- elders and deacons are appointed to serve and shepherd the local church.
- the ministries of the Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher are called to equip the saints for the work of the ministry.
- the ordinances of the church are water baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper, both of which are administered to those who are born again.
- that the Church has a responsibility before God, to proclaim the good news of salvation to all humankind.
- it is the responsibility of every believer to give of his finance, not under any obligation of the Law, but willingly in the freedom of grace.
- marriage is a divine institution solely between a man and a woman, and should be honoured as such.
- in a bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved to eternal life, and they that are lost to eternal damnation.
- Jesus Christ is coming back to meet a sanctified, glorious, victorious church as His bride.
MISSIONS
CTMI
Each local Church in South Africa has a team of local elders that lead the church. In turn all the elders submit and recognise the spiritual oversight provided by the Apostolic team linked to CTMI (Church Team Ministries International). This Christian orgnisation was established in 2001 by Pastor Miki Hardy, his wife, Audrey, and a team of leaders from a variety of countries, united through the message of the cross and subsequent work of God in their lives.
